Zekeri Idris, the official spokesperson and media aide to Peter Obi, has challenged Rivers State to reject Nyesom Wike’s assumption that the people are in his back pocket, promising him the shock of his life in 2027.
Speaking on Symfoni Television from 47:54 , Idris said Wike is not on the ballot and is merely a spectator and government appointee, and that Peter Obi will be roundly defeated in no local government in Rivers, including Wike’s own Obio-Akpor. He said the record of that vote is still in INEC.
He argued that Wike is not God, and that any man who plays God will fall, urging the more than seven million people of Rivers to prove him wrong.
In Idris’s words: “Wike is not God. Any man who plays God will fall. Man is not God and God can never be a man. Wike, even if God wants to transform and become a man, he will not come in the form of Wike. So the people of Rivers state prove to Wike that he’s not more than he thinks he is.”
