Nigerians on social media have been reacting to a touching video recently shared by Dr. Isa Ali Pantami. The video is said to be one of the most recent recorded interviews with the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, before his death.
The former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami posted the video on his official Instagram account. Check out the screen capture of the post below;
According to his statement recently, Isa Ali Pantami said; “This is one of Muhammadu Buhari’s most recent interviews, conducted by Professor Isa Ali Pantami, where he discussed why he joined the Nigerian Army in 1962”.
In the video, Muhammadu Buhari spoke in detail about his early education and personal struggles before joining the Nigerian Army. He said he started his primary school in Daura and Maidua between 1948 and 1952. After that, he moved on to Katsina Middle School in 1953.
Later, from 1956 to 1961, he attended Katsina Provincial Secondary School, which is now called Government College, Katsina. There, he obtained the West African School Certificate, a major qualification at that time.

One of the most emotional parts of the video was when Buhari explained why he joined the military. According to him, his family was trying to force him into marriage at a young age, and he didn’t want that. To escape the pressure and gain control of his future, he made the bold decision to join the Nigerian Army.
