Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi has reacted after an X user told him to stay loyal to the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi.
The X user made the statement after Peter Obi joined the opposition coalition.
Here is what the X user wrote on his official page;
“Many Nigerians believe Mr Peter Obi’s decision to be part of the coalition is what is expected but as a revolutionary who supported his candidacy, you should stay loyal to his decision”.
However, Dele Farotimi has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online, in a statement that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, July 11, 2025, he said he is not loyal to any man. He said he is loyal to ideas and principles. The Nigerian lawyer said Peter Obi is good but he is still a man.
