The National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has stated that Nigeria is becoming safer and more stable under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, as reported by Daily Post.
Speaking at the 2025 National Cyber Security Conference in Abuja, Ribadu said the country is moving in the right direction.
He stated that the economy is improving and security is being restored across many parts of Nigeria.
According to Ribadu, the Niger Delta region is now safer than before.
He also noted that the South-East, which had witnessed serious unrest, is returning to normal.
He said the government is taking strong action against those causing trouble from outside the country.
Ribadu made it clear that such individuals will be arrested and punished, even if they live abroad.
He warned that the government will block any funds being sent to support violence in Nigeria.
The NSA stressed that people should ignore negative voices.
He said some people are spreading false information to create panic and confusion.
Ribadu insisted that these critics do not speak for the reality on the ground.
He assured Nigerians that progress is being made daily.
He said the government is working closely with major telecom companies to strengthen national security.
“Things are changing. We are stabilizing things. Forget about what some people are saying.”
“We have changed things. We are in control. We work with big telecom companies closely. Nigeria is safe, forget about these people who are talking nonsense.”
“Niger Delta is safer than ever before. South-East is beginning to be normal. Those who are creating problems there and are outside the country, we are going to jail them there,” he said.
