In a post Shehu Sani made on his official X handle, he stated that one must have a monthly balance of N15 million maintained over six months to qualify for a Dubai visa, adding that Nigerians below the age of 45 must also be accompanied by someone who meets this financial requirement.

This new policy, according to Sani, implies a deliberate attempt by the United Arab Emirates to restrict entry to only wealthy Nigerians.

The short statement of the Nigerian senator, an author, playwright, and human rights activist, read, “one must have a monthly balance of N15 million for six months to be qualified for Dubai visa, and those below 45 years of age must be accompanied by a person with the above financial status.”

He further added that, “impliedly, they now only want rich Nigerians to go to their country and not just Nigerians.
