One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted after the governor of Anambra state, Charles Soludo spoke about criminals terrorizing Anambra state.

His statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

According to the report that was published by PUNCH, the Anambra state governor stated that the people terrorizing the state are not Fulani herdsmen but Igbo people.

He was quoted as saying that;

“99.99 per cent of kidnappers and other criminals arrested in the state since I assumed office three years ago have been Igbos. It is not Fulani herdsmen, but homegrown criminal elements terrorizing the Southeast”.

However, Senator Shehu Sani has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said those criticizing the Anambra state governor over the statement that he made should have asked the police to present names of the criminals.

Here is what Senator Shehu Sani wrote on his official X handle;

Instead of attacking Soludo for his revelations, why not ask the police to release the comprehensive names of persons involved in acts of criminality in Anambra state in the last four years so that their ethnicity can be verified”.
