During an interview with TVC from 24:00 , former African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman Ralph Nwosu clarified the position of many party stakeholders regarding the coalition’s presidential ambitions, distancing the party from ongoing speculations linking it to Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar.
Nwosu explained that while the coalition is open to candidates from diverse political backgrounds, the ultimate decision will be guided by a shared governance blueprint. He hinted that most founding members of ADC are already showing strong support for a familiar name within the party.
According to him, “By the time we finish our retreat and bring out some documentation on how it will be and bring out the manifesto, whether it’s Peter Obi, whether it’s Atiku, whether it’s Rotimi Amaechi, whether it’s El-Rufai, or whether it’s my good friend, Dr. Bamidele Ganiyu Ajadi, who even most of us, the old ADC people, seem to be backing and liking—whether it’s him or any other person that may emerge, the same program will be run by the government.”
