Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, sharply criticized activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju for his remarks against Wike, as reported by Vanguard News on Saturday, 5th July, 2025

In a post on his X handle, Olayinka accused Adeyanju of seeking to exploit funds from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition, likening it to Adeyanju’s alleged mismanagement of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) social media campaign funds in 2015.

This response followed Adeyanju’s call for former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi to refrain from engaging Wike, stating that Amaechi was “too big” to respond to the FCT Minister’s provocations.

Adeyanju vowed to counter Wike himself, urging the ADC coalition to focus on broader issues. The feud reflects escalating tensions between Wike and Amaechi, former Rivers State governors, intensified by the ADC’s unveiling as the opposition’s platform for 2027, which Amaechi has joined.

Aggrieved by Wike’s explosive interview last night, Adeyanju posted on X: “Coalition people should leave Wike and his dead PDP for me. Amaechi is too big to respond to Wike. Please, leave him for me. They should face other important and relevant issues.”

Responding to Adeyanju, Olayinka posted on X: “One online baseless lawyer, who impregnated a lady that he met in Keffi, Nasarawa State, who gave birth to a boy and he abandoned both mother and son, will also be talking about collision.”

Olayinka’s retort included personal allegations, claiming Adeyanju abandoned a former partner and child, stirring online reactions. The clash underscores the broader political rivalry, with Wike dismissing the ADC coalition—comprising Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, and Amaechi—as a “coalition of confusion” driven by selfish ambitions, while defending his loyalty to President Tinubu.
