Joseph, a hardworking Nigerian artisan, has shared the inspiring story of how he left Nigeria with his girlfriend, Dorcas Anthony, to seek better opportunities in the Niger Republic.
Speaking on the Adult Gist Podcast, Joseph opened up about the struggles, sacrifices, and passion that drive his relentless work ethic.
He revealed that he was employed by a company that specializes in the production of footwear, bags, and belts.
When asked how many bags he produced daily, he said, “When I was doing it alone, I could produce 25 bags. But when my girlfriend joined me, we produced 50 bags a week.”
“In a month, we could produce over 100 bags. If we decided to make 150 bags in a month, we could do it—but I wouldn’t pressure her. She can rest; I know how to handle it on my own.”
Joseph’s passion and determination are evident in his work routine.
When asked about his working hours, he responded, “In a day, I can work for 20 hours. Out of 24 hours, I can sleep for just 3 to 4 hours.”
He explained that his drive comes from a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to his craft.

“When I have a job to deliver, my passion for my work won’t let me rest until I finish it. Even if I try to sleep, it’s only for one or two hours before I wake up again. I always want to finish the work before taking any rest for myself.
