Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has shared his thoughts on the group of politicians forming a coalition to challenge President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

In an interview with Arise TV from 23:13, Sowore said one of the leaders of the coalition is former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. He said El-Rufai once openly confessed that he paid herders to stop killing people

Sowore said another leader of the coalition is former Senate President David Mark. He said as a military ruler David Mark opposed democracy in Nigeria.

Sowore added that Abubakar Malami, who served as the attorney-general under former President Buhari, is one of the leaders of the coalition. He said a lot of the politicians who are leading the anti-Tinubu coalition have questionable past

In Sowore’s words: “A David Mark who was President of the Senate for 8 years, who was military ruler, who said democracy can never come in his lifetime is the leader of the opposition.

“An El-Rufai who paid herdsmen and openly confessed, he was on your show, that he paid them so that they will stop killing. A Malami who was the attorney-general of Buhari some few months ago”
