Shehu Sani, a popular PDP chieftain and former Kaduna senator, has reacted to a recent video of infamous bandit leader, Bello Turji, dismissing claims of the capture of his top commander, Kachalla Baleri.

According to the report, the alleged capture of Baleri was first reported by the chief of the tactical staff of Operation Faraoutar Bushiya, Colonel Mohamed Almoctar Seydou Niandou, who claimed that Baleri was apprehended around 1 p.m. while meeting with his men and planning attacks in Nigeria and Niger.

However, in a video posted on X by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama on Thursday, Turji publicly dismissed Baleri’s arrest claims by Niger Republic troops and defiantly dared the government to detain him and his followers.

The video featured Turji and Baleri, flanked by their followers, with rifles slung over their shoulders. Part of Turji words reads:

“They said they caught and killed Baleri. Here he is!”

On seeing the video, Shehu Sani took to his official X handle to react. In his post, Shehu warned that it’s only a matter of time before the bandits face justice for their crimes.

Sani Shehu post reads:

“Bello Turji and other bandits in Zamfara can continue to brandish their weapons and post their videos, but it’s a question of time before nemesis catches up with them. Their fate will be commensurate with their atrocities.”….Sée Móre
