Israel launched a series of intense airstrikes targeting key Iranian security and military sites in Tehran, resulting in the deaths of two high-ranking Iranian officials.
According to Al Jazeera, Iran confirmed that Alireza Lotfi, deputy head of intelligence at the national police force, was killed in the attack. Additionally, Mohammad Taghi Yousefvand, head of the intelligence protection department of the Basij paramilitary force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), also died as a result of the strikes.
