Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has delivered a damning verdict on the ruling All Progressives Congress, describing it as the worst political party in Nigeria’s history.
Speaking in a candid interview on Arise TV from 10:01, El-Rufai disclosed that internal polling showed a staggering 91 percent disapproval rating for the APC-led administration among Nigerians.
“Look, Nigerians are tired of the APC. We know that, we have polled that,” he said during the interview. “There is 91 percent disapproval of this administration across the country. It’s the worst in Nigeria’s history.”
El-Rufai’s comments come amid mounting public frustration over economic hardship, insecurity, and what many describe as a lack of effective governance under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership. The former governor, a founding member of the APC and once a key figure in its rise to power, did not hold back in his criticism of the party he helped build.
His remarks reflect growing disillusionment among even senior figures within the party, signaling deeper internal divisions and a possible political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
