The provocative statement came just hours after Trump revealed the successful destruction of Iran’s Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, calling it a “spectacular military success.” Yousef, whose deep knowledge of Middle Eastern extremism comes from his unique background as the son of a Hamas founder who later worked for Israeli intelligence, argues the strikes don’t go far enough.
“Temporary victories mean nothing while the snake’s head remains intact,” Yousef implied in follow-up tweets, referencing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. His call for regime decapitation strikes and naval destruction reflects his long-held belief that only the complete dismantling of Iran’s Islamist leadership can bring regional stability.
