According to Punch, in a major political realignment in Kaduna State, former Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Muhammad Sani Sidi, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress. Speaking at an event held at the Kaduna International Trade Fair Complex on Wednesday, Governor Uba Sani welcomed Sidi and his supporters into the APC fold, describing the development as a landmark moment for the party.

Governor Sani lauded the return of Sidi, calling it one of the happiest days in the political history of the state. He praised Sidi as a political heavyweight who had made notable contributions to Kaduna’s growth and development, emphasizing that his decision to join the APC was rooted in selfless service and not personal gain.

Describing Sidi as a man of means whose motivation stems from a commitment to development, Sani noted that his administration’s emphasis on fairness and people-centered governance played a key role in attracting the former PDP stalwart back to the ruling party.
