Primate Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that he tried many times to warn the government about the recent killings in Benue State, as reported by NIGERIAN TRIBUNE.

He revealed that he saw the incident in a vision weeks before it happened.

In a statement on Wednesday, Ayodele said he called the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, 130 times.

He also sent text messages and went to Ribadu’s office, but he was not allowed in, he said he even wrote a letter, but there was no reply.

According to Ayodele, the purpose of his effort was to prevent the killings.

He said the warning was also included in his yearly prophecy book, Warnings To The Nations, however, his efforts were ignored by those in power.

He blamed Ribadu for not listening and said that people in power should learn to respect spiritual messages.

He said God does not want innocent people to die, but leaders often do not take warnings seriously.

Ayodele expressed sadness over the killings, he said he believes that those in government do not value the role of God in national affairs.

He also mentioned that some people may have thought he was seeking money or attention, which he denied.

He explained that the problem in Benue is deeper than what the state governor can solve alone.

He said that was why he also tried to reach out to a military general to help deliver the warning to Ribadu.

“I called Nuhu Ribadu about 130 times to warn him about the Benue Killings beforehand so that it could be prevented, but when you put people who don’t respect God in power, these are some of the things that happen. I sent texts to him, but he never responded. I would say he should be blamed for what happened in Benue. Probably he thinks I want to collect money from him.”

“The problem in Benue goes beyond the governor’s power, and that’s why I sent a letter to him and Nuhu Ribadu. I even called a general to reach out to Ribadu regarding the vision I saw about the Benue attack, but the NSA ignored it. Our governors and administrators need to begin to respect God and listen to his warnings in order to get things done rightly,” he said.
