Former Kaduna central lawmaker and renowned human rights activist, Senator Shehu Sani has slammed those ecstatic about the recent wave of attacks across the Middle East. According to his statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that some people were happy seeing the images of dead civilians in Iran and Israel, but nobody wanted anything to happen to their own family members.

As the images from the scenes of the destruction caused by military operations across the middle east surfaced online, a lot of mixed reactions were stirred from different quarters.

While many condemned the attacks with strong words, others who sided the conflicting nations watched on in ecstacy as their favourite unleashed mayhem and untold terror on their enemies.

Reacting to this phenomenon, Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former Kaduna lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, criticized this act.

According to his statements, many were happy seeing the images of dead civilians littered on the streets of Tehran, Gaza and Tel Aviv, but nobody wanted that to happen to their family members.

Speaking further, he pointed out that war was not a video game or a movie, and decried how civilization has deteriorated in the 21st century.

‘In his words’

“Some people are happy when they see the images of dead civilians in Tehran, Gaza or Tell Aviv, but among those who are happy seeing corpses of others, nobody wants that to happen to his parent, wife, husband, siblings or children…..” He wrote.
