Israel launched a sweeping military campaign deep inside Iranian territory, targeting dozens of strategic sites and top Iranian officials.

According to Times of Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck energy facilities, radar installations, ballistic missile launchers, and nuclear infrastructure across Iran as part of its intensified operation to cripple Tehran’s military and nuclear capabilities.

Among the dead are Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, intelligence chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), his deputy Hassan Mohaqiq, and senior officer Mohsen Bagheri.

The deaths were confirmed by Iranian state media following earlier statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an interview with Fox News.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) also destroyed a refueling aircraft at Mashhad Airport, roughly 2,300 kilometers from Israel — marking the furthest known Israeli strike to date. Additional strikes hit military sites in Shiraz, Parchin, and central Tehran.

Explosions reported near Tajrish Square caused massive sewage and water pipe ruptures, while Israeli airstrikes targeted surface-to-air missile sites and ballistic missile production centers.

IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir described the operation as “historic and unprecedented,” emphasizing that Israeli pilots are operating hundreds of kilometers from home, targeting a wide range of assets with precision.

Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported damage to the Iranian Foreign Ministry building and the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) in Tehran.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities claim 224 fatalities from Israeli strikes since Friday, with most reportedly being civilians.

The IDF maintains that these operations are essential to eliminate Iran’s advancing nuclear threat. Officials insist that once the campaign concludes, Iran’s nuclear capabilities will be neutralized.
