A new layer has been added to the political turmoil in Rivers State between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Governor Nyesom Wike.
Wike had been frequently warned by Abdul-Aziz Na’ibi Abubakar, the media assistant of the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential nominee for 2023, Atiku Abubakar. He warned him that Governor Fubara would soon put an end to Wike’s political career.
He was pleased when he heard the recent news that the court had ruled and declared the seats of 25 lawmakers in the Rivers Assembly empty, which only served to support his assertions.
With a victorious roar, he said that Wike’s political influence was now almost nonexistent and that his previous power had been eroded by the court’s ruling.
This statement was released by Abdul-Aziz Na’ibi Abubakar in a tweet that he published on his official account.
In the words of Abdul-Aziz Na’ibi Abubakar, “I have told Wike several times that Governor Sim Fubara will retire him from politics. Now that the Court has declared 25 Rivers Assembly seats vacant, tell me what is left for Wike. He is now irrelevant!”….S££ MOR£
