According to reports from PUNCH, these injured individuals were part of a neighborhood watch established to safeguard farmers against repeated attacks by herdsmen in the region.

Pastor Justin Onyeibe, a leader in the Abavo community, provided details about the situation. He stated that the woman and her husband were working on their farm when they noticed the approaching herdsmen.

According to him, in an attempt to escape, the couple ran for their lives, but the woman was unable to get away, while her husband was able to flee, which led to her capture.
