Archbishop Elkanah Hanson has spoken strongly about the political crisis in Rivers State, warning leaders involved in the impeachment efforts against Governor Siminalayi Fubara. While giving a tribute at a ceremony for the late Pa Edwin Clark, the Archbishop said God gave him messages about the situation.

In a video that was shared by SYMFONI TV, He said the Holy Spirit revealed that those opposing Governor Fubara, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, are going against God’s will. “God told me that the authority to lead Rivers State is now with Governor Fubara,” he stated.

The Archbishop gave a second message from God to President Bola Tinubu. He quoted Lamentations 3 from the Bible, warning that trying to stop or remove the governor is against God’s plan. He said, “The suspension of the governor was engineered by Satan, and God is not in support of it.”

Specifically addressing Honourable Martin Amaewhule, who is leading the impeachment move, the Archbishop said God is not happy with him. “The holy Spirit specifically said to me, Honourable Amaewhule, who is leading the impeachment fight, God said I should tell you, you’re challenging his authority and that what you’re trying to do is not of him and it’s not going to stand,” he declared.

He called on President Tinubu to reverse the suspension of Governor Fubara immediately. Finally, he prayed that anyone trying to stop the governor’s leadership would lose sleep and peace until they restore him fully.
