Former Minister of Education and respected public figure, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has once again shown her strong support for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. In a powerful message shared online via her X, Ezekwesili made it clear that she cannot be bribed or silenced—no matter how much money is offered.
This comes after a woman named Sandra Duru, also known as Professor Mgbeke, claimed that Senator Akpoti paid her to support sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Ezekwesili rejected this claim completely and said it was a lie meant to distract the public from the real issue—seeking justice for Senator Akpoti.
Ezekwesili said her values and voice cannot be bought, not even with all the money in every central bank in the world. She promised to continue standing by Akpoti and other Nigerians fighting for truth and justice.
“They know—without a doubt — that no amount of money, not even all the wealth in every Central Bank in the world, can buy my convictions, voice, and stance on any matter I choose to support,” she said.
She also criticized corrupt politicians, saying that many Nigerian leaders care only about money and power instead of truly serving the people. She called on all decent and honorable Nigerians to join the fight against injustice and support Akpoti in her case against the Senate President.
Ezekwesili reminded everyone that injustice to one person is injustice to all, and that no amount of lies or intimidation can stop the truth from coming out. She encouraged Akpoti to stay strong and keep fighting until justice is done.
