Popular Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has revealed some of the things that happened between her and her husband that caused the misunderstanding that happened between them, while also clarifying the type of woman she was in order to change people’s perspective about her.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of With Chude during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she disclosed that she was not a wayward woman and that she had no baby daddy, saying that her pregnancy was a legal one at the time.
In her statement, she said, “My father and I had a cordial relationship that made me promise that I was going to keep my maiden name forever, whether I got married or not. The agreement between me and whoever was going to take me as his wife is that my surname will still be part of my names. I’m the first daughter, and our tradition gives me the right to maintain my surname if I choose to. I wasn’t a wayward woman, I had no baby daddy, and I was legally married to my husband. We later got to a point that my husband agreed to allow me to use my surname so that our marriage can work out for the two of us. There was a challenge between me and my husband, but there was no break up between us.”
