The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has tackled the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi over the comment that he made about Nigeria in the United State of America.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s statement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of VANGUARD on Monday.

It would be recalled that while the former governor of Anambra state was speaking at the Johns Hopkins University in USA, he described Nigeria as a poor country.

Reacting, the Lagos State governor said Peter Obi is supposed to be promoting Nigeria instead of saying negative things about the country.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also stated that Peter Obi didn’t build one school as governor of Anambra state.

He was quoted as saying that;

“I find it ironic that a man like Mr Obi, who did not build a single school or a stand-alone hospital throughout his eight-year tenure as governor of Anambra or sustainably provide credit facilities, would criticize the government of Nigeria”.
