Senator Barinada Mpigi, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, has expressed his confusion over why some individuals are seeking another candidate instead of supporting President Bola Tinubu.

During an interview with Arise TV from 5:44, he pointed out that major infrastructure projects, such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Badagry-Sokoto Superhighway, are significant undertakings that cannot be completed within a four-year term.

Given the scale and importance of these projects, he questioned why Nigerians would consider changing leadership at this crucial time. Senator Mpigi stated that Rivers State National Assembly members have unanimously resolved to work tirelessly and without reservations in support of President Tinubu.

He affirmed their commitment to campaign vigorously across all parts of the state to ensure continued support for the President.

He said, “If you look at the legacy projects that have been on ground, especially the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, it cannot be finished within four years; the Badagry-Sokoto Superhighway project cannot be finished within four years. I don’t understand why Nigerians at this point in time will be looking at another candidate that will run such an election. We, as members of the Rivers National Assembly, have totally taken a decision to work assiduously without any reservations. We will campaign, we will go to all the nooks and crannies of our state to make sure we support President Bola Tinubu.”
