Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, a former vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has given his take on the political crisis rocking Rivers State.

The political struggle in Rivers State, which emanated from the feud between the state’s governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, took a different turn after the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declared a state of emergency in the state, thereby suspending the Rivers State governor, his deputy, and lawmakers for six months.
