According to Daily Post News, popular Nigerian comedian Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has declared that he will never support the presidential aspirations of former Labour Party candidate Peter Obi.
Seyi Law explained that his decision stems from Obi’s failure to rein in his supporters, known as the Obidient movement.
Speaking during an appearance on the Teju Babyface podcast, the comedian recounted how Obidient supporters harassed his wife and children simply because he backed President Bola Tinubu during the last election.
He expressed disappointment that Obi has consistently refused to acknowledge that his followers have targeted individuals who do not support him.
Seyi Law said, “I don’t feel discouraged at all because if you talk too much, I will curse you. One of the blessings I enjoy is that I don’t hold onto anger for too long.
“When it comes to personal issues, I let go quickly. But once you cross the line and begin to attack my children, my mother, and my wife — that’s where I draw the line.
“If you go beyond me and attack my family, there’s no forgiveness for that.
“That’s why no matter what Peter Obi does, I can never support him. His supporters came for my wife and children.
“As long as Peter Obi refuses to address their actions and continues to deny their behaviour, he will never have my backing.
“Let Peter Obi wear the garment of Jesus Christ today he will never get my support. Hate or love me, my personal way of life is between me and God.
“Any group that doesn’t allow people to think freely is nothing short of a cult.
