Akingbolu Kabir, a legal practitioner, has shared how Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan overcame serious obstacles during her election in Kogi State

Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, Kabir said just a day before the senatorial election, the then-Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, tried to stop people from voting in Natasha’s area. He said Bello blocked the road leading to Natasha’s area by digging a large ditch on the road and blocking it with trees, all to prevent people from reaching the polling units.

Kabir stated that Natasha personally ensured the ditch was filled and made sure people could move freely and vote in her community.
