According to a report from 11:24 by Channels TV, Victim of a recent mass abduction in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory have shared harrowing details of their time in captivity, describing a journey marked by physical violence, starvation, and a terrifying trek toward the northern borders of the country.

The victims were among 19 people liberated during a joint rescue operation involving the Nigerian Army’s Guards Brigade, the Nigerian Police Force, and local vigilantes.

The rescue took place in the Gidan Dogo forest area of Bwari following a raid on a terrorist hideout.

Speaking shortly after their rescue, survivors recounted the systematic brutality used by the kidnappers.

Victims were moved through rugged, mountainous terrain and forced to endure extreme physical hardship while being kept under the threat of further violence.

“It was a horrible experience. It was so bad. We a lot of things happened along the line,” one victim shared. “We were so much beaten, put to hunger, you know, was was so so excruciating. It was a bad experience.”

The psychological toll reached its peak as the captors began moving the group further north. Victims realized they were being taken away from the capital toward more remote regions, a move that signaled a decrease in the likelihood of a swift rescue.

“Actually, it was when we trek all the way from Abuja to Kaduna and then they were still telling us we will still be taking us to uh Katsina,” the survivor recounted. “That was when all hope was lost.” Read_More…
