The former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has taken to her official X account on Thursday to react after members of the House of Representatives approved Tinubu’s request of emergency rule in Rivers state.
According to The Cable, the lawmakers approved the request of the President through a voice vote that was conducted at the National Assembly chamber. This is coming after it was reported that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be needing the approval of two-thirds majority in the House.
Reacting, Oby Ezekwesili stated that a time will come when a man will face reality. She said right now, every citizen of Nigeria must choose a side.
The former Minister of Education said no country has ever built the Institutions necessary for prosperity and security without defined shared values.
According to Oby Ezekwesili on her official X account;
“We are in a values war with our politicians who evidently are determined to ruin the country. Every citizen must choose a side. There is no place for neutrality in a time of aberrations”.
