Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe, an elder statesman in Rivers State, has spoken about what he believes is the real cause of the crisis in the state.

Speaking in a video shared by Symfoni TVfrom 43:58, Chief Igbe said the former chairmen failed to give thanks to God after they won their positions during a local government election. Instead, he said they celebrated with a Babalawo (native doctor), dancing and making offerings to idols in front of the INEC office. He stated that they poured drinks to their juju and acted as if it was the idol that gave them victory, completely forgetting that true power belongs to God.

Chief Igbe said that their celebrations lasted almost a week, during which they continued to honor their idols instead of recognizing God’s role.

Chief Igbe said: “There is a secret that I want to tell the world why all the crisis in Rivers State. Election was held, whatever way it went you (former LGA chairmen) have gotten victory. Instead of giving glory to God you brought Babalawo dancing and eating before INEC office, pouring drinks to juju, celebrating your idol as if it was the idol that gave you victory, forgetting that there is God almighty in heaven who owns all the powers. And he only sent the angel of God to set confusion between you and that power and you are in disarray”
