A senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has dismissed concerns that recent defections from the party will affect President Bola Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 election, believing that no political alliance can stop the president’s re-election, as reported by VANGUARD.
In recent weeks, some APC members have joined opposition parties, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has moved to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and is reportedly reaching out to other politicians, including Rauf Aregbesola, to join him, despite this, Oyintiloye remains confident that Tinubu will secure another term.
He sees political defections as a normal occurrence and does not consider them a threat to the president’s chances, according to him, Tinubu has built a strong political network and continues to gather support across the country.
His leadership style and strategic planning, he believes, will ensure victory in the next election.
Oyintiloye also highlighted the president’s ongoing efforts to improve governance and strengthen the country’s economy.
He believes that Tinubu’s policies are already delivering positive results and that his achievements will speak for him when the time comes.
As preparations for the 2027 election continue, he advised the president to focus on public engagement and sensitization.
He underlined the need to communicate the administration’s successes and future plans to Nigerians.
“Leave it or take, no amount of political gang up can stop the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027. Those who are gathering against him ahead of 2027 should try and study the kind of person the President is.”
“He has the winning strategy, and he is raising men and women of goodwill across Nigeria. His achievements, political sagacity, and love for the country will speak for him now and in the future,” he said.
