Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, has revealed that many politicians, including former ministers and senators, are engaged in discussions about Nigeria’s political future, stating that these conversations involve leaders from different political parties who are looking to form a united front, as reported by PUNCH.

Dalung, who left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2022, stated that the talks are still in the early stages.

Because of this, he refused to disclose the identities of those involved, however, he assured that a significant number of political figures are considering a collective approach to challenge the current government.

According to Dalung, President Bola Tinubu’s leadership style is a major reason why many politicians are unhappy.

He described Tinubu as an “egoistic personality” who acts like an emperor.

Dalung warned that if the President does not change his governance style, he will face strong opposition in the coming years.

He claimed that Tinubu believes he has conquered Nigeria but will soon realize the strength of the people.

Dalung also accused Tinubu of treating former President Muhammadu Buhari unfairly.

He pointed out that Buhari played a crucial role in making Tinubu’s presidency possible.

According to him, Buhari conceded key positions, including the vice presidency and five ministerial slots, to Tinubu when the APC was formed in 2014.

However, Dalung argued that since becoming president, Tinubu has not returned the favor by appointing any of Buhari’s allies to key positions.

“We are in discussions with many people across the country, including former ministers and senators. But because it is at the level of discussion, I will have to protect their identities.”

“Tinubu thinks he has conquered Nigeria. But we will soon know who own Nigeria.”

“Buhari conceded the vice president to Tinubu and five other ministers, and he supported his presidential ambition.”

“Currently, Tinubu cannot mention a single special adviser he considered for Buhari in his administration. The President is not treating Buhari fairly,” he said.
