The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Bala Mohammed, has expressed his willingness to work together with the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Speaking while hosting Peter Obi in Bauchi State, as shown in a video coverage made available by Channels TV from 7:11, the Bauchi State governor reaffirmed his commitment to working with Obi to foster unity and cooperation.

The Bauchi State governor, who acknowledged Peter Obi’s influence in Nigerian politics, described him as the current leader of the opposition in Nigeria, citing his position and political pedigree.

He emphasized his readiness to join forces with Obi ahead of the 2027 elections, to promote good governance and strengthen the opposition through knowledge, strategic planning, and a clear vision for the country’s future.

He said, “I feel highly appreciative of what he (Peter Obi) is doing as a leader of the opposition. Whether we like it or not, he is the leader of the opposition now in Nigeria because of his position and pedigree. As a person, I’m ready to work with Peter Obi and to make sure that we come together, we close ranks, we bring good governance to the country, we bring vibrant opposition with knowledge, with timelines and with vision.”
