The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has vehemently condemned former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for the persistent retention of state-allocated monies, as reported by SYMFONI TV. The IYC articulated their frustration with Wike’s activities, alleging that he is celebrating while the residents of Rivers State endure suffering.
The council explicitly stated that it would not condone any measures that could impede the advancement of the current administration under Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The IYC spokeswoman stated, “We have repeatedly affirmed that the stance of the Niger Delta populace aligns with the governor, and we shall persist in extending our support to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.”
“Should any group intend to incite chaos in Rivers State or disrupt our son’s efforts to deliver the benefits of democracy to the populace, rest assured, you will first face opposition from over 30 million youths before you can realize such nefarious ambitions in Rivers State.” The IYC’s statement emphasizes their unwavering support for Governor Fubara and their dedication to maintaining peace and stability in the state. The group unequivocally said that any efforts to impede the administration’s operations would encounter vigorous opposition.
