Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has discredited the allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against her husband..

Akpoti-Uduaghan, in an interview with Arise TV from 6:48, accused the Senate President of harassment and claimed he blocked her motions in the Senate after she rejected his advances.

But in a video shared by SYMFONI, Ekaette Akpabio expressed confidence that Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central senatorial district was aware that she was making false claims against the Senate President.

She described the situation as unfortunate and advised against maligning others to resolve personal issues. She mentioned that she and her husband were acquainted with Akpoti-Uduaghan’s husband before their marriage. According to her, their relationship with him would remain unchanged unless he had endorsed the allegations made by his wife.

She said, “It’s unfortunate that she has said what she said, and I’m sure she knew she had lied. She shouldn’t take that route. If she has a problem that needs to be solved, it can be solved without maligning somebody. We knew the husband before they got married, if the man wants us to continue the relationship, yes, we will continue the relationship, because after all, we didn’t know her before now. It was only when they got married that we knew her. So, nothing happens to the relationship between us and the man, except if the man had given her the approval to come and tell these lies.”
