Pa James Nwaubani, the 79-year-old father of a man who murdered his own sister and her two children in Abia State, has shared how the crime was discovered.
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, Nwaubani said that a neighbor who happened to be in the toilet saw the suspect struggling to move his sister’s lifeless body out of a drum. He said the neighbor, in shock, asked the suspect whether he had killed his mother.
In Nwaubani’s words: “This boy who saw it said he was in the toilet when he started hearing footsteps that sounded in our side. We share a common fence and their toilet being close to our house, he heard the steps. He peeped and saw him (my son) trying to move a lifeless body from a drum, probably to take it into the house and cut into pieces like he did with the twins. The guy asked him ‘Have you killed your mother?’ (sic)”
