According to a report from Symfoni TV on Thursday, February 27, Speaking at a public event, Oshiomhole passionately declared his support and outlined the need for strategic actions to secure national unity and sustained progress under the current administration.
“I did it before, Mr. President, we did it before,” Oshiomhole stated confidently as he reflected on APC’s past achievements during his tenure as chairman. He emphasized that the momentum achieved by Tinubu’s leadership must not be derailed. “If this continues to go down the right path, we will beg you, Mr. President, to run again,” he added, suggesting that a 2-million-man march could be organized to rally support and demonstrate the people’s commitment to Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria.
Oshiomhole commended Tinubu’s administration for taking bold steps in addressing key governance challenges. He specifically highlighted efforts in tax policy reform and leadership accountability, areas he described as critical for the nation’s economic stability. “We are working on the taxation system,” he affirmed, stressing the importance of creating a fair and sustainable structure to boost national revenue.
The former APC chairman did not shy away from addressing opposition activities, noting their attempts to undermine the government. “The opposition’s business is to demarket the ruling party, but we must consistently remind Nigerians of the mistakes of the past and the progress we are making now,” he stated.
Oshiomhole further urged APC leaders to remain focused on delivering results, emphasizing that leadership is about driving solutions, not excuses. “The basic in leadership is that you don’t say, ‘This is how I met it, this is how I left it.’ True leaders focus on what they are doing now to make things better,” he remarked.
