A video that was posted on the official X account of The Cable on Tuesday has captured the moment the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio was speaking about Natasha Akpoti’s recent outburst at the National Assembly.
In the video, the Senate President said the House is experiencing series of conflicts because many of the lawmakers don’t take time to read the law book given to them after they were sworn in. He said he was surprised when Natasha Akpoti raised her hand to contribute on the first day she was sworn in.
According to Senator Godswill Akpabio;
“I remember that this particular senator on the day she was sworn in, raised her hand to speak and I was scared but I had to recognize her.
“Part of what we give to you when you are sworn in is the standing order of the Senate. I said has she even opened the book to know what she’s going to say? But she made a contribution on that day.
