Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has drawn attention to the results of the 2023 presidential election in Kaduna State, cautioning against claims of political influence in delivering votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Shehu Sani, in a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, addressed what he described as potential misrepresentations regarding the election outcome.
“In case anyone from Kaduna State tries to lie that he delivered Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election and he is entitled, this was the result,” he wrote.
Providing the official figures from the election, Sani outlined the number of votes received by the three leading candidates. “Atiku 554,360k, Tinubu 399,294k”
The figures shared by Shehu Sani reflected the victory of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, securing over 554,000 votes.
Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the eventual winner of the presidential election, garnered approximately 399,000 votes in the state. Peter Obi of the Labour Party followed with over 294,000 votes.
Shehu Sani also referenced an incident involving Peter Obi’s campaign, alleging that the Labour Party candidate was prevented from using the Arewa House despite having made the necessary payments.
“Peter Obi who was denied the use of Arewa House after paying for it pulled 294,494k,” he stated.
