According to a recent YouTube video posted by Idoma Tv, a former Nigerian Anglican Bishop raised concerns about the future of Christianity in the country, warning that the faith may soon disappear from the region if current trends persist.
Speaking at the burial ceremony of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Igu in Buru, the Bishop reflected on the decline of Christian values and missionary work. He lamented the loss of religious influence in institutions like St. Bat Nursery and Primary School in Wasasa Mission, which once produced dedicated Christians and missionaries.
“This is what we are losing today,” the Bishop said. He further warned that studies and historical surveys predict a future where Christianity may no longer have a foothold in the region. “Very soon, according to history, studies, or surveys, Christianity will vanish from the surface of this land, and this islam will take over,” he declared.
Encouraging listeners to seek further information, he referenced a publication titled *”Next 100 Years,”* urging those interested to explore its findings. Although he did not elaborate on the content, he emphasized that the warnings within the document align with his concerns about the future of Christianity.
