According to the report from SYMFONI TV, Former Governor and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike visited Kwali Area Council to inspect the ongoing construction of two vital road projects: the 15km stretch of the A2 Lokoja Expressway to Pai and the 15.4km Pai to Gomani roads. During the visit, he met with the children of the Chairman of the Kwali Area Council, Danladi Chiya, including Godswill, Gidstime, and Godspower.

Speaking to reporters, Governor Wike praised the progress made so far, particularly highlighting the capabilities of the contractors. “They show capacity and it means that they’re going to deliver on time,” Wike stated. “This is what I’ve always said, that we give our jobs to those who show capacity, not on sentiment.”

Wike also commented on the ongoing work along the Pai to Gomani route, where contractors have completed 12 kilometers of the road. “What you saw there is to do with a preach, so that the pilot, you may not appreciate until you drive down to the end of the village,” Wike explained. He expressed confidence that the project will be completed on time, noting, “I still believe that also within time, that the time given, they will beat up.”

Wike emphasized that the key focus now is ensuring the completion of the roadworks before the onset of the rainy season. “What’s important now is to see that the work is completed before the start,” he concluded.
