During an interview (Between 24-26 minutes) on Mic on Podcast, Mr Isaac Fayose, who happens to be the younger brother to the former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has revealed what caused the issue between him and the former Ekiti governor.
When he was talking during the interview, he claimed he was not a politician but he has another brother, Otunba Fayose, who was into politics, but Peter Fayose has refused to support Otunba’s political ambition. He claimed that during the last governorship election in Ekiti State, Otunba Fayose contested to be governor, but Peter Ayodele Fayose supported Oyebanji instead of supporting his own sibling. He claimed this was what led to the rift between them.
He said, “We were together in South Africa for seven days, we were talking back and forth; family and politics. My brother and Wike are trying to destroy PDP. I would use the word ‘destroy’ PDP. I think it’s bad. They trying to destroy the party that has given them eight years as a governor; that’s evil.”
Further talking, he said, “And you see, anytime I release my video even during that 2023 elections, he doesn’t like it. He will call me, ‘Isaac don’t do that kind of video, I am supporting Atiku.’ I said, ‘No, me I don’t like Atiku, I’m supporting Obi.’
