In a pointed response to today’s Supreme Court ruling, Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the FCT Minister on Public Communication and Social Media, has raised serious concerns about the legality of Rivers State’s financial operations under Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision, where a five-man panel led by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji dismissed Governor Fubara’s appeal challenging the leadership of Martin Amaewhule in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Olayinka took to X (formerly Twitter) to make strong assertions about the implications of the ruling.

“With this judgment of the Supreme Court today, it is established that Governor Fubara has been spending Rivers State money illegally,” Olayinka declared in his post on the social media platform.
