Renowned academic Prof. Miebaka Aprioku has strongly criticized former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, questioning his political relevance in the state.

In a video shared by Symfoni TV, he stated, “We are only looking at a fool that does not know his stand in governance he has left Rivers State he is no longer a prominent citizen of Rivers State,” Prof. Aprioku said in a bold statement.

His remarks come amid ongoing political tensions in Rivers State, where Wike, now serving as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), continues to be a controversial figure.

While Wike maintains influence in state politics, critics like Aprioku argue that his departure from the governorship has diminished his standing among the people.

The statement reflects growing divisions within the state’s political landscape, as some leaders seek to redefine the future of governance without Wike’s direct involvement.

Supporters of Wike, however, dismiss such criticisms, insisting that his impact on Rivers State remains significant.
