During an interview from 36:26 on Channels Television, Hon. Adamu Aliyu, an APC chieftain, spoke on the growing political contest and shifting alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections. His remarks come amid ongoing defections and heightened rivalry between political parties.

Aliyu stated that the APC’s focus remains on securing victory in the next election rather than disrupting opposition activities. He explained that recent developments, including the movement of key figures away from the party, have posed challenges to its internal strength and strategy.

He noted that some influential members had been taken by opposition parties, a situation he said prompted a more assertive political response. According to him, the party is responding to actions already taken against it, rather than initiating conflict.
