Rivers State elder statesman Kingsley Wali has stated that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi needs to make strategic compromises if he truly intends to secure the presidency under the ADC banner.
According to report by daily Post on Wednesday April 1st 2026, Wali argued that Obi cannot expect the party’s nomination or the presidency to be handed to him without bargaining and alliance‑building.
Wali said the realistic path to the presidency requires Obi to cut deals and forge the necessary political arrangements, rather than waiting for the ticket to be presented on a platter.
In Wali’s view, pragmatic negotiation is the only viable route for Obi to become the ADC candidate and, ultimately, president.
He stated,
“So if Obi truly, wants to be president of Nigeria and he wants to be the presidential candidate of ADC, he has to cut deals. And that is the only way he can get to the presidency or become the ADC candidate.” Read_More…
