Demola Olanrewaju, a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party recently reacted to the actions of the former governor of Rivers State and minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesom Wike. This came during an appearance on popular television outlet, News Central TV. In his statements which drew widespread attention from the general public, he pointed out that it was a contradiction for the former governor to serve under the All Progressive Congress.

Mixed reactions trailed after the former governor of Rivers State and current minister of the federal capital territory, Nyesom Wike categorically stated that he will never reconcile with Siminalayi Fubara, the current governor of the state. His statements however, stirred mixed reactions as notable individuals took to different platforms to express their concerns over his statements.

In light of this, a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Demola Olanrewaju in a recent interview on News Central TV came hard on the former governor. According to him, it was a contradiction for Nyesom Wike, a PDP member to serve under the APC government.

He further pointed out that the former governor was unhappy because his proposed third term ambition of governing by ‘proxy’ was thwarted.

These were the words of the PDP Chieftain which were shared by News Central TV on their official social media handle, X.

“I think former governor Nyesom Wike, minister of the FCT represents a contradiction with the political space, a PDP member, serving under an APC government, it’s a contradiction….I think he is unhappy with the fact that his proposed third term ambition, he thought he was going to govern by proxy, is not working,..” he said.
