Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has once again voiced his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, lauding the resìlience of the people of Gàza amid the ongoing conflìct with Israel.
In a statement shared on his verified Twitter account, Khamenei described the recent events in Gàza as a pivotal moment that will be recorded in history.
“It will be written in books that there was a mob who once kìlled thousands of children & women in Gaza!” Khamenei wrote, in a strong condemnàtion of the Israeli actìons during the recent hostìlities. He attributed Gàza’s endurance and the steadfastness of the Palestinian Resistance as key factors in forcing what he referred to as the “Zionist regime” into rètreat.
Highlighting the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, Khamenei emphasized the historical significance of their struggle. He also extended his remarks to include the broader “Resistance Front,” a term often used to describe Iran-backed groups across the region that oppose Israeli polìcies.
The Supreme Leader’s comments align with Tehran’s longstanding polìcy of supporting Palestinian factions and opposing Israeli actions in the occupied terrìtories. This latest statement comes amid intensified global scrutiny of the humanitarian crìsis in Gaza, where thousands of cìvilians have been kìlled or displaced due to the ongoing vìolence.
