Peter Obi one of the prominent opposition politicians of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, had expressed his concerns over the ongoing security challenges facing the country ranging from kidnapping, robbery, and herdsmen/farmers clashes among others with the latest abduction of two Catholic reverend sisters by unknown gunmen along Ufuma Road in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to Daily Post, the Presidential Candidate from the Labour Party (LP) of the just concluded General Election, Peter Obi condemned the kìlling of the Manager of the College of Nursing Sciences, Ihiala, stressing that no one was currently spared from the dangerous wind of many kidnappings, and kìllings blowing through many parts of the nation.

Peter Obi said, “Every Nigerian feels the heat of insecurity, which has continued to affect every aspect of our nation, from the agricultural sector, where farmers are often chased out of their farmlands, to the health and educational sectors, where critical workers are often kidnapped or killed.”

The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi went further to lament that the recent killing of the Manager of the College of Nursing Sciences, Ihiala, and the abduction of two Reverend Sisters, Anambra State by the unknown gunmen was worrisome, urging the administration of the President of Nigeria, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu that they take immediate action to the security challenges facing the country, especially the South Eastern parts of the country.
